Better

When you dodged my questions like a bullet,
When you left my words unacknowledged,
When you turned your back,
And my words didn’t mean a thing,
It was better.

It stung like a hornet
I could feel the venom
I would wash the wound
And it was better

Now you ignore me no more,
And this love is fatal,
It exhausts me,
It consumes me…

My heart sinks,
I fear losing you,
I hate to disappoint,
Crossed the line

Your warm touch,
Your unfathomable eyes,
I am addicted to you
I wish you knew

I know not of love,
And it scares me so much,
That when I meant nothing to you
When you had no such clue
It was better!
